Hey there, fellow outcasts! I'm excited to welcome you to The Odd Mama Club. Let me introduce myself: I'm Nicole, a millennial mama of two toddlers turned accidental founder of this virtual haven for the unconventional moms out there.

If there's one thing I've always known, it's that I'm a bit of an outcast. You know, the sort of person who prefers their own company over forced small-talk and side-eye glances from judgmental PTA moms. Becoming a mother did not miraculously bestow upon me the conventional, beige-loving persona society seems to demand. Shockingly, I found myself more isolated in the motherhood gig than ever before. Who knew? Apparently, stepping into the terrifying arena of toddler tantrums while rocking my beloved oversized hoodies won me the gold in solo missions.

Sarcastic? Check. Empowering? Double check. Unconventional? That’s my middle name. I didn’t get the memo that once you become a mother it is nothing but wool sweaters, sandals, and jeans. No thank you. I can’t possibly be alone in this. I am what many would consider an elder emo, so my usual going out clothes consist of an old hoodie and leggings. So I thought, why not establish a space where moms like us can gather and be unapologetically ourselves?

And so, The Odd Mama Club was born—a brainchild born out of necessity and a desire to connect with other moms who feel just as out of place in the conventional narrative as I do. Here, we embrace the chaos, the craziness, and the joy of motherhood without slipping into a mold.
